Assistant Managers work with and under the direction of the Store Manager. On the job training is provided. A typical shift includes:
A Typical Day Includes:
- Working with Store Manager to manage day-to-day store operations
- Completing store opening and closing procedures
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly managerial procedures
- Hiring, supervising, training, motivating, and coaching employees for success
- Delegating tasks and tracking employee performance
- Ordering inventory, stocking sales floor, and merchandising
- Operating a forklift safely and within trained safety protocols
- Ensuring compliance with safety, security and emergency procedures
- Resolving and documenting customer complaints
- Resolving and documenting employee issues
- Reporting and documenting maintenance/repair issues to corporate
- Cashiering
- Selling products and assisting customers with their product needs
- Attending to damaged products per store policy
- Ensuring the store is neat, clean and organized throughout the day
- Other duties as assigned by Store Manager
Qualifications:
Full-Time applicants must work a 40 hours per week. Availability to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00AM and 9:00PM, and minimum of one Saturday or Sunday shift every other weekend is required.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience as a supervisor or keyholder in a retail setting
- Ability to effectively manage others
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently to shoulder height and reach above eye level (Between 1/3 and 2/3 of shift)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders (Between 1/3 and 2/3 of shift)
- Ability to use pallet jacks and other equipment to move product weighing up to 2000 lbs. (Between 1/3 and 2/3 of shift)
- Cash handling and experience in point-of-sale systems required
- Valid driver’s license
